A Bill of Materials (BOM) is a recipe that defines which raw materials (and in what quantities) are needed to produce one unit (or a batch) of a finished product. In VeriStock Pro, you create BOM recipes for each product. When a Production Order is issued, the system uses the BOM to automatically deduct materials from raw stock and create a WIP entry.
When a Production Order is started, raw materials are moved from "Raw Stock" to "WIP Stock". You can see exactly how much material is on the production floor vs. in the warehouse. When the Production Order is closed, WIP converts to "Finished Goods Stock" — ready for sale billing.
Yes. VeriStock Pro supports both discrete assembly (e.g., assembling mobile chargers from components) and process manufacturing (e.g., producing spice powder from bulk raw materials, or mixing chemicals). The BOM supports any unit of measure — kg, litre, piece, gram, etc.
When closing a Production Order, you enter the actual finished output quantity. If it's less than the expected output, the difference is recorded as scrap. Scrap reports show cumulative scrap per product and per batch, helping you monitor and reduce production waste over time.
Yes. Once a Production Order is closed and finished goods are added to your sales inventory, you can directly create wholesale orders and GST invoices from that stock.
